Richard Hall (rhhall) > Look at the sipe nearest the "TWI" stamp, and you will see three indicator bars.  You can pretty much ignore the outmost two and focus your attention to the innermost indicator to get a feel for remaining mileage in the tire.  When that innermost indicator is close (say 1/32"), you can consider the tire done.

Richard Hall (rhhall) > I noticed a few drops under my brake caliper one morning.  I immediately assumed it was brake fluid, so I tightened up the bleeder at the caliper and cleaned the fluid with a shot of brake cleaner and a clean rag.  The bleeder was tight... hmmm.

Richard Hall (rhhall) > The sun begins to set as I enter the northern range of the Flaming Gorge.  I'm not far from Rock Springs, WY, the town where I received my last performance award.  I was riding home from the Curve Cowboy Reunion rally and got Instant-on'ed by the Wyoming Highway Patrol.  The annoying thing was that I was pacing a semi-trailer gravel truck about 1,000 feet in front of me, and he didn't shoot it.  He saw the motorcycle, (which is considerably less dangerous than a semi-truck at the same speed) and popped me.   Just doesn't make sense, other than the truck was likely a local, and a motorcycle is likely to be tourist.  Guess who gets targeted?
