Some of us go for a swim. I get in to my knees and decide that's enough. Besides, I had a nice dip in the lower Yosemite Falls basin yesterday. We enjoy the sun and views around the lake, and then hike bike down to the parking lot. Unfortunately I run out of memory, and do not get any more pictures during the hike back or the ride home. Arriving back at the parking lot, we say our good-byes and head for home.
We catch up to Sienna just north of Topaz Lodge, where the road is closed due to a fatal car accident. We eventually are let through and see an overturned pickup truck. Sadly, a blue tarp has been laid out on the side of the road to cover the poor occupants. Its a very sobering and quiet ride home, during which I realize how fortunate I have been to experience such a great weekend and awe-inspiring views of nature. Enjoy life, you never know when it will end.
